Jazz Mapping at Singularity Summit Greece

Monday November 19th 12 noon at the Athens Concert Hall Megaron

What do jazz, language, education and artificial intelligence have in common? Can an AI improvise jazz music?

This is what Dimitri Vassilakis, saxophonist, composer and researcher at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens had to say:
"At the Singularity Summit, I will have the pleasure to present an interactive performance with Jazz and Artificial Intelligence. This is based on my "jazz mapping" contribution to the research currently being done at Athens Kapodistrian University and Georgia Tech/Georgia State in Atlanta, analyzing the semantics and syntax of jazz improvizations and the application of the findings we get from the rich language of jazz and other fields of language and art. Recently I presented my concept 'Jazz Democracy' at the United Nations in New York, and we had the chance to discuss jazz language, education and Artificial Intelligence."
